General characteristics

• Available sections: from a few millimetres up to more than 250 mm
• Standard lengths: up to 7.5 metres, with custom cutting available
• Thicknesses: from thin (0.5 mm) to thick (>5 mm), depending on the material
• Formats: solid, hollow, tubular, flat or complex profiles
• Dimensional tolerances: adjusted according to the technical requirements
• Finishes:
  ○ Smooth, satin, textured or grained surfaces
  ○ Colour in the mass (RAL, Pantone, or transparent)
  ○ Special finishes: cutting, drilling, bonding or assembly
• Conditioning: delivered in bars, coils or pre-cut lengths
• Production volumes: medium and large series

Custom dies and tooling

Our extrusion dies and tools are designed using 3D/2D CAD software.

Each development is monitored through a Product Development Sheet (FDP), detailing all functional, aesthetic and environmental specifications.

This complete in-house mastery guarantees responsiveness, confidentiality and consistent quality at every stage.

Materials used

A selection of polymers tailored to your needs

We extrude a wide range of thermoplastic materials selected for their mechanical, chemical and aesthetic properties.

Each material is chosen according to your specification, final use and application environment.

Available materials: Rigid or flexible PVC, PEHD, PP, PS, ABS, PMMA, PA, PC, ASA, SEBS, TPU, TPV, PETG, and other technical or recycled formulations.

Examples of material properties

• Rigid/Flexible PVC: impact resistance, electrical insulation
• ABS: rigidity, aesthetic finish, thermal stability
• PEHD / PP: chemical resistance, low weight, durability
• PA / PC: excellent mechanical and thermal resistance
• PMMA / PETG: transparency and brilliance for aesthetic applications
• SEBS / TPU: elasticity and flexibility for soft profiles

All materials are recyclable, with certain grades available in recycled or food-grade versions where needed.

Manufacturing process and quality

Plastic extrusion: our core expertise

Plastic extrusion is a continuous process in which a thermoplastic material is heated, conveyed through a screw system, then pushed through an extrusion die to achieve its precise shape.

The extruded product is then calibrated, cooled and cut, ensuring stable dimensions and a uniform finish.

ABI Profils operates 15 single- and twin-screw extrusion lines (WEBER, AMUT, BATTENFELD CINCINNATI), configured for:

• parts from 10 g to 5 kg per linear metre
• various formats: tubes, profiles, sheaths, cores
• standard and technical materials: PVC, PP, PEHD, ABS, PA, PC, etc.

Each line is equipped with volumetric or gravimetric dosing systems ensuring perfect dimensional and colour consistency.

All production is traceable, controlled and compliant with ISO 9001 and ISO 14001.
