• Cutting: to the desired length, with smooth or chamfered finish
• Internal finish: engineered for thermal bonding or fabric adhesion

Materials used

ABI Profils paint roller tubes are made from single-material extruded thermoplastics selected for their performance and compatibility with the thermal fusion process used to bond roller fabrics.

PVC (Polyvinyl Chloride)

• Applications: standard and intensive-use professional rollers
• Properties: excellent rigidity, high compression strength and resistance to deformation. PVC ensures perfect dimensional stability, essential for uniform fabric bonding.

Polypropylene (PP)

PP is used in two grades depending on the technical and economic requirements of the roller.

PP Homopolymer (PP-H)

• Applications: rollers for standard use or requiring increased rigidity
• Properties :
  – High tensile strength and rigidity
  – Low density
  – Excellent long-term mechanical stability
  – Highly compatible with thermal fusion processes
  – Provides an even, smooth surface ideal for fabric adhesion

PP Copolymer (PP-C)

• Applications: rollers exposed to higher mechanical or thermal stresses, or for industrial applications
• Properties:
  – Better impact and fatigue resistance than PP-H
  – Improved low-temperature performance
  – Increased flexibility and resilience
  – Particularly suitable for automated assembly operations
  – Enhanced dimensional tolerance for demanding applications

All materials comply with REACH regulations and are available in regenerated grades for more sustainable and environmentally responsible solutions.

Manufacturing process and quality

The molten material is homogenised, calibrated and cooled under strict control, ensuring consistent performance from batch to batch.

Equipped with 15 single-screw and twin-screw extrusion lines, we adapt our production capacity to your needs — from prototypes to large-scale manufacturing.
