Technical information
Our co-, tri- and post-extruded profiles are made to order in line with your specification.
With 15 single- and twin-screw extrusion lines (WEBER, AMUT, BATTENFELD CINCINNATI), we manufacture profiles:
- from 10 g to 5 kg per linear metre
- up to 7.5 metres long
- with complex sections (hollow shapes, dual lips, clip channels, joints, etc.)
- in mono-, bi- or tri-colour versions
Our co- and tri-extrusion equipment allows multiple polymers (rigid and flexible) to be combined with a stable chemical bond and long-lasting adhesion.
Each line is controlled by volumetric or gravimetric dosing systems to ensure accuracy, consistency and full traceability.
Optional finishing operations include: inline printing, punching, drilling, bevel cutting, flaring, or marking.
Custom dies and tooling
Our dies and extrusion tools are designed using 3D/2D CAD software.
Each development is documented through a Product Development Sheet (FDP) covering functional, aesthetic and environmental requirements.
This in-house control ensures responsiveness, confidentiality and consistent quality at every stage.

Materials used
ABI Profils’ multi-material profiles can combine various polymer families to meet precise requirements.
Common combinations
- ABS / TPU profile: structural rigidity + soft, impact-resistant surface
- Rigid PVC / Flexible PVC profile: integrated clip-fit and sealing functions
- PC / SEBS profile: transparency and flexibility for aesthetic applications
- PP / Santoprene (TPV) profile: lightweight, elastic and suitable for harsh environments
- Bi- or tri-colour profiles: visual differentiation, identification or decorative finishes

Manufacturing process and quality
Co-, tri- and post-extrusion
Co-, tri- and post-extrusion are advanced plastic extrusion processes enabling several materials to be assembled into one profile.
- Co-extrusion: two molten polymers combined through a dual-channel die to produce rigid/flexible or bi-colour profiles.
- Tri-extrusion: three polymer flows extruded simultaneously to create multi-functional profiles (clip-fit, sealing, chemical barrier).
- Post-extrusion: an additional stage where a coating or complementary section is added to a pre-extruded profile.
Every production batch is traceable, inspected and compliant with ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 standards.
