Technical Information

Production Tool

At ABI Profils, we use cutting-edge technology for the manufacturing of our road signage tubes and stakes. Our machinery includes single and twin-screw extrusion lines, allowing for flexible production tailored to each request.

Extrusion (as well as co-extrusion and tri-extrusion) is the most common manufacturing process for marking stakes. The material is first melted, then homogenized using a screw and finally pressed through an extruder. The plastic material used is determined by your specifications. We are moving towards a 4.0 manufacturing plant with advanced technology, equipped with 15 single and twin-screw extrusion lines, enabling versatility and an appropriate response to all your requirements. Our road signage tubes and stakes are therefore of superior quality and have a long lifespan.

Materials Used

The raw materials selected for our tubes and stakes are chosen for their robustness and durability:

• Shockproof Crystal PVC: Allows very high resistance to impacts and weather conditions.
• ECO HDPE: Used for its lightness, durability, and chemical resistance.
• ECO 2R HDPE (Reinforced – Recycled): Combines durability with an ecological approach, while providing additional resistance.

Product Range

ABI Profils offers a complete range of road signage tubes and stakes:

• Standard Snow Stake: Ø 21 x 25, length 2.30m.
• Application of anti-freeze caps/Class II self-reflective bands and/or tips on request.
• Sleeves: Ø 27×32, length 300mm.
• Custom dimensions: For any other diameter or length, please consult us.

This range is available in various generic colours (blue, red, yellow, black, orange, green) or upon request. Our manufacturing campaigns for snow stakes and marking for the winter season begin in the summer to respond quickly to your requests.

Additional Finishes
