ABI INNOV: Investments for More Efficient & Sustainable Production
At ABI Profils, our mission is simple: to offer you the best solutions while constantly improving our processes. And 2024 marks a turning point for our company. We are proud to announce new investments that will significantly increase our production capacity. These changes have been carefully studied to meet your expectations optimally and strengthen our commitment to sustainability and performance. Here’s an overview of our new investments.
ABI INNOV: Investments for More Efficient and Sustainable Production
An Expansion to Better Support You
As part of our commitment to staying at the forefront of innovation and offering you even more efficient service, we have embarked on an ambitious project to expand our facilities. With this 5,500 m² extension, our site will reach nearly 10,000 m², enabling us to better meet your growing demands and further improve our production lead times. We see this expansion not only as a step forward for us but also as a testament to our commitment to supporting your own development.
But our commitment doesn’t stop there.
A New Twin-Screw Extrusion Line: What Are the Benefits?
Among our recent investments, we are proud to introduce our new twin-screw parallel extrusion line. This state-of-the-art technology is designed to produce large-dimension plastic tubes and profiles at high speed while maintaining great precision. The twin-screw configuration also ensures better plastification, a more homogeneous distribution of fillers and additives, and greater flexibility in processing materials, including technical polymers, composites, or complex blends.
This new line also integrates the latest generation of quality control systems. With the integration of Viso cameras, every detail is inspected in real-time during production, ensuring continuous monitoring of dimensions, surface defects, and overall product conformity. This technology guarantees that every part coming out of our factory meets exact specifications from the very first production cycle.
Alongside this technological advancement, we continue to reinforce our commitments to sustainability and eco-responsibility.
Strengthened Eco-Responsibility Commitment
Thanks to our intelligent dosing system and twin-screw line, we will not only optimise energy performance by reducing energy consumption per production cycle but also integrate recycled or bio-based materials without compromising the quality of our products.
This will be achieved in part through the degassing system of our twin-screw line. This process involves removing residual gases (such as moisture, solvents, or volatile compounds) that can form during plastification or be present in raw materials. Degassing occurs through specially designed zones on the extrusion line, where the gases are evacuated under vacuum, ensuring the material remains pure and free from air bubbles or other contaminants.
This reflects our commitment to minimising our environmental impact while meeting the growing performance and sustainability demands of our clients.
More Efficient Tools for Custom Products
In addition to our new extrusion line, we have invested in collaborative robotics integrated into our manufacturing processes.
This technological advancement allows us to perform various checks and packaging directly during production while carrying out post-extrusion operations such as drilling or flaring. Through this integration, we optimise the precision and efficiency of each manufacturing step, ensuring high-quality products.
