Available extrusion technologies

  • Mono-extrusion:
    A manufacturing process in which a single thermoplastic material is extruded to produce homogeneous and uniform tubes. Suitable for applications requiring excellent dimensional stability and consistent mechanical properties.

  • Post-extrusion:
    Integrating specific treatments or finishes in-line in order to optimise the performance of the finished product. Makes it possible to modify certain properties of the tube by applying a coating or an additional layer.

  • Co-extrusion:
    A process enabling the combination of several materials within the same tube structure.
    Ideal for combining different mechanical, thermal, or chemical properties in a single product.

The various technical tubes manufactured by ABI Profils can be produced from a wide range of plastic materials, suited to even the most demanding requirements:

Manufacturing process and Quality

These diverse technical tubes are manufactured by plastic extrusion, co-extrusion, or post-extrusion, processes that guarantee homogeneous products that meet the highest quality standards. The material is melted, homogenised, and then pushed through an extruder to shape the technical tubes.

At ABI Profils, we have 15 single-screw and twin-screw extrusion lines, allowing us to adapt our production capacity to the specific requirements of your projects.

We produce technical products in different plastic materials according to your needs (ranging from standard to highly technical materials, including recycled options). We develop a tailor-made solution in collaboration with your teams, precisely adapted to your specific requirements.

Production is carried out exclusively with modern technologies, adapted to both plastics and their processing, while preserving resources and the environment.

Tool design is performed using a 3D and 2D CAD/DAO system in our own workshop. To track each stage of your development, we use the Product Development Sheet (FDP) method. A functional and aesthetic analysis will focus on manufacturing feasibility as well as industrialisation costs. These documents consolidate all the guidelines for your project.
